Terms of Use

The Weber Grill Academy (“The Weber Grill Academy”) is operated by Weber-Stephen Products (UK) Ltd. (“Weber“). By booking an event with Weber you are agreeing to accept these terms & conditions. These terms also apply to events booked by the recipient of gift vouchers.

Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. All prices shown are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT at the rate ruling at the time of payment.

Payment for Group Bookings

For Corporate or Group Bookings, courses are normally tailored to your requirements. Therefore, reservations must be made in advance and full payment must be paid upon booking.

You should try to ensure that you have accurate numbers of attendees when making a group booking with us. However, if you are unable to confirm exact numbers at the time of booking, you should confirm the minimum number of attendees and then additional people may be added closer to the course date.

You should try to let us have the correct number, names and dietary requirements of attendees at least 14 days prior to the course date. If the number of attendees increases, then you will be asked to pay the outstanding balance prior to the course date.

We ask that final numbers of attendees reaches us no later than two days before the booked course. This will enable us to order the correct amount of ingredients.

Prices

Unless otherwise agreed by us in writing, the price for the products and/or courses shall be the prices set out on this site and in any price lists published on the date on which an order is placed. Prices are subject to change and may do so, depending on availability of certain courses.

What is included

Your booking entitles you to one place on the Weber Grill Academy class. All necessary equipment will be supplied for your use during the course. 

What is not included

Accommodation is not included within the prices.

Gift Vouchers

The Weber Grill Academy gift voucher entitles the holder to attend a full master class at the Weber Grill Academy. Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost or stolen or damaged beyond recognition. Each voucher can only be redeemed once and is only valid with bookings made directly with the Weber Grill Academy. Only original vouchers will be accepted and are subject to availability. Vouchers cannot be redeemed against Weber products or additional Grill Academy vouchers. Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. You must bring the voucher with you when you attend a class at the Weber Grill Academy.

Gift vouchers expire 12 months after purchase and therefore, courses must be booked within this timeframe. After the date set out on the gift voucher, it will automatically expire. Our team are not responsible for reminding or informing customers when a gift voucher is due to expire.

The validity of your gift voucher may be extended for a further 3 month period for an administrative fee of £20, but such requests must be processed before the original expiry date.

Cancellations

At the Grill Academy we have achieved, what we believe, to be a good balance between our competitive prices and the requirements of our customers. As a result of this we have developed a 28 day cancellation policy. This policy applies to all cookery classes.

Cancellations more than 28 days from the date of the course: Outside of the 28 days from the date of the course we can be flexible. If we have notice then we can rebook you onto another course. If you can provide a replacement participant, you are welcome to do so at no extra cost. If you wish to cancel your booking we will offer you your money back.

Cancellations made less than 28 days from the date of the course: Inside the 28 days from the date of the course, we will re-list your course place for sale. If we are able to resell your place, we will refund you the cost of your course. However, if you can provide a replacement participant, you are welcome to do so at no extra cost. Inside 28 days we are not able to move you onto another course. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refunds inside 28 days of the date of the course.

We are not able to offer refunds or late notice amendments to courses where customers are unable to reach us due to adverse weather conditions. If you are unable to attend a class due to adverse weather conditions, please let us know as soon as you can. You may be able to claim on any travel insurance policies you have, or have taken out to cover your trip to us. In the event that you are unable to reach us, you may send someone else in your place. Termination/Amendment of Events

Occasionally, we may have to cancel or postpone a class due to unavoidable circumstances or if a class is under-subscribed. In such cases, we will always try to give as much notice as possible and will notify all confirmed attendees offering to move you to another cookery course, or provide a voucher for the same amount of money (valid for 1 year) or a full refund. We will not be liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur. If you need to arrange travel or overnight accommodation we recommend that you seek appropriate insurance.

Delivery

Gift vouchers will be sent by email, directly to you or to an address you have provided. 

Any gift vouchers purchased and selected for email delivery will be delivered to the email address entered by the customer at no cost. We are not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of an email voucher being blocked by web filters or firewalls. If the recipient does not receive the email voucher, please contact us immediately to send vouchers to an alternative email address.

Age Restrictions

Participants for any course must be 16 or over.

Loss/Damages

Weber will not accept liability for any loss or damage caused to personal belongings or vehicles etc or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage. Liability will not be accepted for any loss or damage resulting from anything beyond the control of Weber.

Nothing in this clause or in these terms and conditions shall operate so as to exclude or restrict Weber’s liability for death or personal injury caused as a result of our negligence or that of Weber’s servants, employees or agents.

Health & Safety

Smoking is not permitted inside the Weber Grill Academy premises. Excessive drinking and use of illegal substances are not permitted. During the event we would ask that long hair is tied back and that flat non-slip footwear is worn ensuring toes are covered. Any dietary requirements or food allergies must be advised at the time of booking. Should any conduct be deemed unacceptable Weber reserve the right to require you to leave the Weber Grill Academy premises and no refund of booking fees will be made.

Proof of age will be required for those who look under the age of 25 before alcohol will be served.

You must notify the Weber Grill Academy before attending the course if you are unwell.

No pets are allowed onto the Weber Grill Academy premises, except guide dogs.

Indoor Barbecues

Weber barbecues are for outdoor use only. The barbecues in the Weber Grill Academy kitchen have been specially adapted for this unique and safe environment. Weber does not sanction barbecuing indoors.

Complaints

In the event of any complaint please put this in writing to our Head Office:

Any complaint will be taken seriously and responded to within 30 days.

Nothing in these terms and conditions affects or limits your statutory rights

This contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and all disputes arising hereunder shall be submitted to the excluded jurisdiction of the English Courts. The applications of the uniform laws on international sales shall be excluded.
